Indian Shores is a beautiful beachside community in Pinellas County Florida. Located on the barrier island west of Seminole, Indian Shores is home to about 1500 full-time residents but thousands more tourists and vacationers make their way to Indian Shores each year.

The small town has recently undergone multiple construction and renovation projects including utility undergrounding, resurfacing of roads and thoroughfares, and implementing pedestrian safety measures. Located just west of St. Petersburg and Tampa, Indian Shores is also home to the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the care and release of native birds to the Gulf Coast. This beach town boasts multiple vacation options, beachside resorts and bars, and high-end restaurants as well as fantastic shopping at John's Pass Village in nearby Madeira Beach as well as all of the fun and events in Clearwater Beach and the Clearwater Beach pier.

Indian Shores is known for its expansive and luxurious condominium complexes and hotels along the beach. If you're looking to buy a beachfront condominium on Indian Shores, here's a list of the most popular and extensive condominiums to choose from.

Beach Cottage – $320,000-$550,000 – Built in 1982 – Beachfront

Beach Cottage offers a variety of condominium units with 1 to 3 bedroom layouts from 1000 ft.² to 2000 ft.². Homeowner association fees are $400-$600 per month.

Beach Palms – $400,000-$750,000 – Built in 1991 – Beachfront

Beach Palms offers one building with five floors and 64 units. Homeowner association fees are between $400-$800 depending on the size and residents enjoy a heated swimming pool and either two or three-bedroom units from 1000 ft.² to 1800 ft.².

Barefoot Beach Resort – $220,000-$400,000 – Built in 1961 – Waterfront

This Indian Shores landmark features 170 units with both one and two-bedroom layouts from 730 ft.² to 1000 ft.² offering views of the Intracoastal waterway and low homeowner association dues.

Bay Mariner – $250,000-$350,000 – Built in 1974 – Waterfront Views

This four-floor condo unit features 123 condominiums in two and three-bedroom layouts from 985 ft.² to about 1500 ft.². The building allows up to two pets, 50 pounds each, a waterfront swimming pool and fitness center with maintenance fees up to about $400 per month.

Bay Shores Yacht & Tennis Club – $220,000-$390,000 – Built in 1976 – Waterfront

Bay Shores is a yacht and tennis club on the Intracoastal Waterway featuring 112 units on eight floors. It offers a waterfront swimming pool, tennis and recreational building as well as to bedroom and two bath condominium units between approximately 725 ft.² and 1100 ft.².

Indian Rock South Shore – $420,000-$690,000 – Built-in 2016 – Waterfront

This property features 30 units on five levels, a heated waterside swimming pool and spa, an allowance up to two pets, and units from up to three bedrooms and two baths as well as a 300 ft.² waterside balcony and waterfront views of the Intercoastal Waterway. Homeowner association dues are about $590 per month.

Onella - $2.5 million-plus – New Construction – Beachfront

This is one of Indian Shore's newest communities with 10 exclusive residences, single-level units, two penthouses with two floors each, and in sizes up to 2500 ft.². Homeowner association dues are between $1200 and $1400 per month and the building does allow up to two pets with a 100-pound weight limit.

Paradiso Del Mar - $1.5 million-plus – New Construction – Beachfront

This is one of Indian Shores newest communities with 8 exclusive residences. This complex is pet-friendly allows one pet up to 40lbs. Expected completion date for this unit is the Summer of 2022. These are very large units located directly on the beach of Indian Shores.

Sand Dollar – $500,000 - $1,800,000 – Built-in 1981 – Beachfront

This complex features three buildings built-in 1981. It offers two and three-bedroom beachfront condominiums from 1100 ft.² to nearly 1800 ft.², Jacuzzi, BBQ, and picnic area, tiki huts, and beach volleyball. This complex was recently repainted in 2021 and allows one to seven-day rentals. HOA approx $730 and pets are allowed

Sand Castle – $450,000-$650,000 – Built-in 1974 to 1981 – Beachfront

This complex features three buildings built in three separate phases between 1974 and 1981. It offers two and three-bedroom beachfront condominiums from 1100 ft.² to nearly 1300 ft.², three heated beachfront pools, a recreation and fitness center, allowance of pets up to 100 pounds, and approximately $550 per month in HOA fees.

Tuscany By The Sea – $1 million-plus – built-in 2005 – Beachfront

This seven-story Mediterranean-style complex features 12 exclusive beachfront homes as well as four-bedroom and five bath condominiums of over 5000 ft.². Homeowner fees are $1500 per month and residents enjoy a heated beachfront swimming pool and an allowance of two pets up to 60 pounds of combined weight.

Waterside Indian Shores – $450,000-$690,000 – Built-in 2014 to 2016 – Waterfront Views

These townhomes feature 54 buildings with a two-car garage H, three-bedroom and three-floor townhouse designs between 1700 ft.² and 2000 ft.². Homeowner's dues are approximately $450 per month and residents have the option of using a heated swimming pool.

Whether you've come for the live music and cats (yes I said cats) or just one of the most entertaining and interesting places in the county, Mahuffer's is definitely a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf – if you're a golf enthusiast but not quite ready for the big leagues, this is one of the most challenging mini golf places around with waterfalls, caves, and even a full-on pirate ship.

Sea Turtles – it's a little hidden gem to know that see Turtles love Indian Shores beaches. It's home to nesting sea turtles every year May through October. They love the soft sand just as much as we do and they're pretty amazing creatures fighting odds of survival on an annual basis.

Lost Tiki Garden this South seas Polynesian theme park was quite an event back in its day. Opening in 1964 and closed in the 1980s, the state of Florida bought the property from the developer and turned into a public parking lot called Tiki Gardens beach access. It might not sound like much, but it's definitely the gateway to our gorgeous white sandy shores.
