About Clearwater Condos

While the beaches are definitely something to write home about, Clearwater is much more than its sugary sandy beaches and fabulous weather. If you're considering a move to Clearwater, a condominium might be a great low-maintenance option. It's also a good first step in the home buying process. If you are new to real estate, a condominium is a great way to ease into being a homeowner. You don't have to deal with everything like you would being a single-family home owner. Only a condominium means your responsibility begins at the front door. The exterior of the property, grounds, maintenance of the roof, siding, exterior stairs, and all common area maintenance is the responsibility of the Association.

However, you will need to deal with homeowner association fees, basically the trade-off for not having to maintain the property yourself. These fees can run anywhere from $100 a month to several thousands of dollars based on the type of condominium you choose. High-rise condominiums, newer condos, luxury properties, and those that offer many amenities typically have homeowner association or condo association dues of $800 or more. Older condominiums, those that may just offer a pool or a fitness facility and lower maintenance buildings can typically run between $200 and $500 per month. So, when determining your housing budget, you'll need to factor in HOA fees.

But, moving into a condominium means that you won't have to deal with replacing the roof, painting the siding, or any of the grounds maintenance. All of that will be taken care of for you and it's a great first step if you're moving into the real estate realm. However, perhaps you're moving out of a single-family home and the idea of low maintenance really appeals to you. A condo or townhome might be ideal for you. Start by browsing all of the available condominiums for sale in Clearwater Florida or browse some of the higher-end condominiums on Clearwater Beach. Most of the units in downtown Clearwater are slightly older, except for some newer ones as you move towards the causeway bridge in downtown Clearwater. Condominiums with views, newer condos or even waterfront access to tend to start at about $500,000 on up.

Clearwater makes a beautiful place to call home and whether you're looking for a beachfront, bayfront, waterfront, water access, or simply a lower maintenance lifestyle, a condominium in Clearwater is the key.
